Managers can spend considerable time looking after the needs of their teams while carrying their own workload, accountability, organisational pressures and responsibilities outside work.
Supporting managers therefore includes recognising the impact the role can have on the person performing it.
Where appropriate, managers can access individual counselling and psychotherapy for their own mental health and wellbeing, providing a confidential space separate from their responsibility for supporting employees.
